If you want to help your child learn to read but don't know how, then this is the toolkit for you.
Teaching a child to read is easier than you think.
Reading Revival toolkit is different from other reading schemes in three crucial ways.
1 Each book contains carefully chosen words rather than random words to tell a simple story. It's essential that a child becomes familiar with commonly used words and is not confused with randomly occuring words that s/he may not use often.
2 Every book provides plenty of practise of what's already been learned, and carefully manages the introduction of new words. It's important to build confidence, skill and enjoyment all together as you go along, if a child is to learn really quickly.
3 The scheme is designed to be used before the child embarks on phonics related skills. Many children only learn to read phonetically once they have gained experience of reading with whole words. Once they have this foundation of knowledge, they begin to read at an astonishing rate using phonics techniques.
Reading Revival is a reading scheme that can be used by parents at home, and teachers in school.
No child is the same, but results consistently show that an average child of approximately 4 years of age spending 10 minutes a day can be brought to a reading age of around 7 years in 6 weeks, and sometimes sooner, using the Reading Revival scheme.
The scheme is well crafted so that an adult with no previous teaching experience can successfully use the toolkit. We have also found that the child is motivated by the process and completes the scheme with an ongoing enjoyment of reading.
It's time for a Reading Revival.
